Job summary

City of Virginia Beach is seeking a DSP Shift Leader for West Neck Intermediate Care Facility to oversee 12 residents and ensure IPP implementation, medication passes, and care coordination during night and day shifts.

The role requires 3+ years in a residential setting, direct shift leadership, and the ability to train and mentor staff. A $3,000 hiring bonus is available for new hires, with benefits included in the City package.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a residential setting and documenting in an electronic health record.
• Experience with following individual support plans and providing direct care.
• Experience supervising staff or leading a shift.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift to ensure 12 client plans are followed.
• Perform medication passes and accompany medical appointments.
• Coordinate with care teams, nurses, QDDPs, and families.
• Maintain medication process knowledge and MAR checks.
• Complete weekly fund ledger and required documentation.
• Participate in hiring and mentoring new staff.
