Guardian Residential Services in Stafford, Virginia is seeking an experienced Direct Support Professional (DSP) Team Lead to guide the DSP team in a residential home. You will provide direct support to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and ensure adherence to care plans, documentation, and safety procedures.

The role requires leadership, calm communication, and a commitment to person-centered care.

Qualificações

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience with individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Experience with individuals with significant behavioral support needs highly preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record.
• Background checks required.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsabilidades

• Perform all duties of a Direct Support Professional.
• Provide leadership and guidance to DSP staff during shifts.
• Ensure staff follow service plans and safety procedures.
• Maintain calm, professional approach during challenging behaviors.
• Reinforce training and guide staff on care standards.
• Ensure medications are administered and documented per requirements.
• Ensure shift documentation is accurate and submitted on time.
• Monitor quality and consistency of services.
• Communicate concerns to appropriate supervisors.
• Assist with documentation reviews and audits.
• Promote teamwork and positive communication among staff.
• Support individuals with daily living activities, meals, and community participation.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, structured, person-centered environment.
• Follow Guardian Residential Services policies and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
