Job summary

Empower Retirement is seeking a Retirement Plan Counselor to deliver on-site and virtual education and enrollment presentations to government 457 plan participants across Idaho. The Counselor will travel within Idaho and support the Relationship Management team in building stakeholder relationships.

Strong presentation skills and FINRA registrations are required, with a base salary range disclosed. Ideal candidates have 2-4 years in financial services, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 2-4 years relevant financial services experience required.
• Strong presentation skills required.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams required.
• Strong relationship building and territory management skills.
• FINRA Series 6 and Series 63 registrations within established timelines required.
• FINRA fingerprinting required.
• Salesforce knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and facilitate communication and education strategies by conducting one-on-one virtual and on-site group meetings using various technologies.
• Drive participants to take actions to improve retirement outcomes including plan enrollment and deferrals.
• Meet service level agreements and achieve business results.
• Complete reporting within required timeframes (logging meetings, attendees and outcomes).
• Build strong relationships with contacts, plan sponsors and internal stakeholders to maximize outcomes.
• Manage meeting schedules, including travel bookings.
• Provide feedback to local relationship managers about material effectiveness and assist in identifying alternatives.
• Attend client meetings with service teams.
• May participate in finals presentations for new prospects depending on territory demands.
