Job summary

Grady Health System in Atlanta seeks an Infectious Diseases Clinical Pharmacist to apply pharmacotherapy expertise within inpatient ID teams and antimicrobial stewardship to optimize antimicrobial use.

The role includes educating residents and students, participating in clinical research and ID/pharmacy committees, and leading efforts to advance rational, cost-effective medication strategies across the health system.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited School.
• ASHP-accredited PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency and PGY-2 Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Residency (or five years post PGY-1 residency experience)
• Board Certification in Infectious Disease preferred
• Fully licensed as a Pharmacist in the State of Georgia or eligible for full licensure within 90 days through reciprocity or exam

Responsibilities

• Apply pharmacotherapy knowledge to influence physician prescribing for better drug therapy outcomes.
• Collaborate with inpatient ID teams and antimicrobial stewardship to ensure safe, cost-effective antimicrobial use.
• Precept pharmacy residents (PGY-1 and PGY-2) and pharmacy students.
• Participate in staff development and clinical research.
• Participate in ID and pharmacy committees to promote rational medication use.
