Job summary

Grady Health System is seeking an Infectious Diseases Clinical Pharmacist to apply pharmacotherapy expertise to inpatient ID teams and stewardship programs. The role emphasizes advanced practice, education, and leadership to improve antimicrobial use and patient care across the health system.

The position involves precepting residents and students, contributing to clinical research, and participating in ID and pharmacy committees to promote rational, cost-effective medication practices.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
• ASHP-accredited PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency and PGY-2 Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Residency (or five years post PGY-1 residency experience).
• Board Certification in Infectious Disease preferred.

Responsibilities

• Precepting pharmacy residents (PGY-1 and PGY-2) and doctoral students.
• Collaborating with inpatient ID teams and antimicrobial stewardship to optimize antimicrobial use.
• Engaging in clinical research, education, and committee activities to advance patient care.

Doctorate of Pharmacy

ASHP-accredited PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency

PGY-2 Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Residency

Board Certification in Infectious Disease (preferred)
