Job summary

JobRx, Inc. is seeking an Infectious Disease Clinical Pharmacist to lead antimicrobial stewardship efforts within the health system.

The role includes promoting appropriate antimicrobial use to improve patient outcomes, reduce adverse events, and cut costs; participates in rounds with infectious disease consult service. The pharmacist will precept students and residents, conduct quality improvement projects, and help develop drug policy.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in Acute Care Inpatient Pharmacy.
• PGY1 Acute Care Residency preferred and may substitute for two years of experience.
• Graduated from accredited School of Pharmacy.
• ACPE Antimicrobial Stewardship Certification or equivalent.
• ACPE Compounded Sterile Products certification and IV competency demonstrated within required timelines.

Responsibilities

• Promote appropriate antimicrobial utilization to improve patient outcomes, minimize adverse drug events, antimicrobial resistance, and costs.
• Serve as antimicrobial stewardship resources and co-chair the Antimicrobial Stewardship Subcommittee.
• Attend daily multidisciplinary rounds with the Infectious Disease consult service.
• Conduct prospective order reviews.
• Precept pharmacy students, interns and residents.
• Conduct quality improvement projects and scholarly activity.
• Develop and implement drug policy.
