Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals LLC is seeking a Senior Director, ICX Data, Analytics & AI to lead the intelligence engine behind Vertex's integrated customer experience. You will own data products, predictive models, next-best-action decisioning, and AI agents at scale, partnering with Legal, Medical, Regulatory, and external vendors to deliver compliant, high-impact solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred in data science, analytics, CS, engineering, business, or related field.
• Significant leadership experience in data, analytics, AI/ML, decision science, digital strategy, or customer experience.
• Experience translating data and AI capabilities into measurable commercial or patient outcomes.
• Experience developing and operationalizing data products, predictive models, next-best-action or decisioning capabilities, and AI/agentic solutions.

Responsibilities

• Set and execute the data, analytics, AI, and agentic strategy and roadmap for the ICX organization, aligned to commercial priorities.
• Own build, buy, and partner decisions including investment cases and vendor selection.
• Lead end-to-end intelligence layer supporting the integrated customer experience with data products, analytics, models, and AI agents.
• Establish and scale AI agents and ML capabilities to improve precision engagement across channels.
• Own enterprise measurement and the commercial closed loop, turning signals into actionable insights.
• Define data governance, data quality, and Responsible AI practices; ensure compliance with regulations.
• Partner with Legal, Medical, Regulatory, Privacy, and Compliance to ensure safety and defensibility of AI solutions.
• Build and lead a high-performing team of ~9 direct reports and manage vendor ecosystem.
