CARE | Charlotte Animal Referral & Emergency in Charlotte, NC seeks ICU technicians and assistants to provide high-level nursing care for hospitalized patients and support our specialists and ER veterinarians.

Positions include our 3rd shift ICU from 9pm to 7am with a $3/shift differential. Full-time schedules, potential overtime, and weekend/holiday requirements apply. Opportunities for growth and strong benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years veterinary technician experience required.
• RVT preferred but not required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs unassisted.
• Emotionally intelligent with critical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in all aspects of care.
• Provide advanced nursing care to hospitalized patients.
• Venipuncture: jugular, cephalic, saphenous.
• IV catheter placement.
• Laboratory analysis (automated and manual).
• Digital radiology and imaging support.
• Triage patients and anticipate veterinarians' needs.
• Administer anesthesia induction and monitoring.
• Provide compassionate client service.
