Charlotte Animal Referral & Emergency is seeking a 2nd shift ICU Veterinary Technician/Assistant to provide high-level nursing care for hospitalized patients in a 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital.

You will work 2pm–12am with a $2/shift differential, and enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including PTO, health and vision insurance, 401k with company match, life insurance, HRA, tuition reimbursement, and more.

Formación

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of veterinary technician experience.
• RV T preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs unassisted.
• Emotionally intelligent and able to think critically.

Responsabilidades

• Assist veterinarians in all aspects of care.
• Provide advanced nursing care to hospitalized patients.
• Perform automated and manual laboratory analyses.
• Perform digital radiography and radiographs.
• Triages patients and supports veterinarians’ needs to maintain workflow.
• Assist with anesthesia induction, intubation and monitoring.
• Deliver compassionate customer service and accurate medical calculations.
• Maintain PTO and benefit requirements as outlined by hospital.

CAREis seeking talented Registered Veterinary Technicians and Assistants to join our ICU team! If you enjoy providing a high level of nursing care to your patients and going above and beyond to ensure the comfort, safety, and health of your patients then the ICU is where you belong! ICU technicians are responsible for providing exceptional nursing care for our hospitalized patients. ICU technicians care for all hospitalized specialty and emergency patients which affords you the opportunity to work with all of our specialists and ER veterinarians.

Shifts Available:

• 2nd shiftICU:2pm to 12am
  
  
  • W ork 5 days/off 5 days, then work 2 days, off 2 days

• All schedules offered are full-time and overtime is available.


• As a 24/7 hospital, some holidays and weekends will be required.

Requirements:

• High school degree or equivalent


• A minimum of 2 years of veterinary technician experience is required


• RVT preferred but not required


• The ability to lift up to 40lbs unassisted


• Emotionally intelligent


• Critical thinking


• Able to safely restrain patients for extended periods of time


• Proficient with technology including electronic medical record systems, automated lab analyzers, digital radiology

Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinariansin all aspects of care
