Job summary

Day Kimball Health is seeking a Unit Receptionist/Patient Care Technician for the ICU in Putnam, CT. This role supports front desk operations, patient care activities, and communication under nurse supervision.

Night shift, 32 hours per week, with opportunities to grow within a community-focused nonprofit hospital. The ideal candidate has a High School diploma, CPR/NVCIT certifications, and CNA or equivalent RN clinical experience; healthcare terminology and basic nursing skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical terminology/keyboard skills preferred.
• CNA certification or completion of one year of clinical RN nursing program, or EMT-B required upon hire.
• Current CPR certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Current NVCIT certification required within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Meets the physical demands of the position and remains alert with patients.
• Assists patients with ADL, vitals, and daily living activities as directed by the nurse.
• Transcribes physician orders and assists with front desk patient management.
• Provides basic patient care under nurse supervision in the ICU setting.
