Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian / Columbia University Medical Center is seeking an ICU Technician – Neurosurgery for 8HS – PT – Nights. This role supports patients and families at the bedside, performing phlebotomy, EKGs, vital signs monitoring and blood glucose testing.

The position is part-time nights, onsite in New York, with competitive base pay and benefits, and opportunities for growth within a renowned care team.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of Nursing Attendant experience in a health care setting.
• Successful completion of a Nursing Attendant skills inventory.
• Recent training/experience as Nurse Technician, Patient Care Technician or Medical Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and EKG with accuracy and care.
• Be the eyes and ears of the nursing team at bedside.
• Collaborate with nurses and attendants to maintain high care standards.
• Balance patient care with clinical practices and initiative.
• Provide phlebotomy, EKG, vital signs and glucose testing as needed.

Required Criteria

• Minimum of two years current Nursing Attendant experience in an health care setting.
• Successful completion of a skills inventory of a Nursing Attendant.
• Recent training and/or experience as a Nurse Technician, Patient Care Technician or Medical Assistant.

Salary Range: $31.48-$33.35/Hourly
