Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital seeks an ICU Technician for Neurosurgery unit (8HS) on the Night shift. This part-time role requires on-site presence in New York, NY, with responsibilities focused on supporting nursing staff and patient care.

You will collaborate with nurses to maintain high standards of safety, comfort, and dignity for patients. The technician will perform phlebotomy, EKGs, vital signs monitoring, and glucose testing, while providing compassionate bedside assistance and ensuring

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years current Nursing Attendant experience in a healthcare setting.
• Recent completion of a Nursing Attendant skills inventory.
• Recent training as Nurse Technician, Patient Care Technician, or Medical Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy, EKG, vital signs monitoring and blood glucose testing.
• Serve as eyes and ears of the nursing department; collaborate with nurses and attendants.
• Enter rooms and provide comfort, calm, and compassion to patients and families.

This is a part-time nights shift position at NewYork-Presbyterian / Columbia University Medical Center.

Required Criteria

• Minimum of two years current Nursing Attendant experience in an health care setting
• Successful completion of a skills inventory of a Nursing Attendant
• Recent training and/or experience as a Nurse Technician, Patient Care Technician or Medical Assistant
