Job summary

Union 1199 is seeking an ICU Technician for the Neurosurgery unit at NewYork-Presbyterian / Columbia University Medical Center. The position is part-time, nights, and involves caring for patients, taking EKGs, performing phlebotomy, and supporting the nursing team.

Requirements include at least two years of Nursing Attendant experience, completion of a Nursing Attendant skills inventory, and recent training as Nurse Technician or Medical Assistant.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years current Nursing Attendant experience in a health care setting.
• Completed a skills inventory of a Nursing Attendant.
• Recent training and/or experience as a Nurse Technician, Patient Care Technician or Medical Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and EKGs as part of patient assessment.
• Monitor vital signs and blood glucose regularly.
• Support nursing staff and assist with patient care tasks.

Required Criteria

Salary Range:

$31.48-$33.35/Hourly
