Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in New York, NY is seeking an ICU Technician for Cardiac Surgery to join our night shift team. You will work closely with the ICU nurses to support patient care, performing phlebotomy, EKG and essential bedside tasks to keep patients safe and comfortable.

The role requires at least two years as a Nursing Attendant in a healthcare setting and training or experience as a Nurse Technician or Medical Assistant.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years current Nursing Attendant experience in a health care setting.
• Successful completion of a skills inventory of a Nursing Attendant.
• Recent training and/or experience as a Nurse Technician, Patient Care Technician or Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy, EKG, vital signs monitoring and blood glucose testing.
• Enter rooms to provide comfort and calm for patients and families; support nursing staff.
• Be on-site at NewYork-Presbyterian / Columbia University Medical Center for night shift.
