Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian / Columbia University Medical Center in New York, NY seeks an ICU Technician – Cardiac Surgery for full-time evenings. You will support nurses at the bedside, perform phlebotomy, EKGs, vital signs, and glucose testing while delivering compassionate care.

Two years of Nursing Attendant experience and completion of a skills inventory are required; training as Nurse Technician / Patient Care Technician / Medical Assistant is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years current Nursing Attendant experience in a health care setting
• Successful completion of a skills inventory of a Nursing Attendant
• Recent training and/or experience as a Nurse Technician, Patient Care Technician or Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy, EKG, vital signs monitoring and blood glucose testing
• Assist nurses and nursing attendants to raise patient care standards
• Provide compassionate bedside care and ensure patient comfort

Required Criteria

Salary Range:

$31.48-$33.35/Hourly
