UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL seeks a part-time Registered Nurse to deliver patient care across units using the nursing process. The role emphasizes health promotion, illness prevention, and collaboration with physicians and the care team. You will assess patient needs, provide teaching, and ensure safe, cost-effective care.

Shifts include part-time morning hours and weekend mornings. A valid AL RN license, BLS, and unit-specific certifications are required or completed within specified

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• One year of emergency or ICU nursing experience may be required for FSED locations.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS and/or PALS may be required depending on unit/department.

Responsabilidades

• Utilize the nursing process to care for and counsel individuals in health promotion and prevention.
• Guide data gathering, assessment, nursing judgment, intervention and evaluation.
• Delegate, coordinate and manage nursing care for patient and family.
• Deliver patient care in collaboration with the health care team under physician/psychologist/podiatrist/dentist supervision.

Conocimientos

RN license in AL

BLS certification

ACLS/PALS may be required

Nursing assessment & teaching
