Job summary

Sovah Health - Martinsville is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in the ICU for night shifts, 12-hour rotations, full-time with 36 hours/week and every other weekend, 7PM-7AM. The position offers a hiring range of $33.19 to $44.81 per hour and a $20,000 sign-on bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

Active Virginia RN license (single-state) or compact license.
Associate degree in nursing required.
Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments and other medical care activities.
Documents patient care provided.
Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
