Job summary

Carilion Clinic in Lexington, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the ICU to work evening/night shifts with every other weekend and holiday requirements. A $20K sign-on bonus is available for experienced RNs.

The RN will provide professional nursing care across all ages, collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure safe, effective, and high-quality outcomes. Responsibilities include patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care; documentation in EMR; and supporting

Qualifications

Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved program is required.
Current Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia or eligibility to obtain licensure is required.
AHA BLS-HCP required; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required depending on work area.

Responsibilities

Provides individualized patient care and coordinates care delivery for patients of all ages.
Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care to achieve optimal outcomes.
Documents age-specific assessments to support care plans.
Collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans.
Administers treatments and medications and documents in EMR.
Supports education activities within the department.
