Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a registered nurse for ICU and night shift responsibility in central Massachusetts. You will provide direct patient care using the nursing process, assess patients, and coordinate care from admission through discharge.

Active MA nursing licensure, BLS, and unit-specific credentials are required; a BSN is preferred. A $6,000 sign-on bonus may apply for external hires; 1900-0730 hours and weekend rotations are included.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS is required for every RN; ACLS may be required depending on unit.
• BSN highly preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of nursing practice.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for patient care from admission to discharge.
• Develops and coordinates individual care plans including discharge planning.
• Directs and evaluates nursing care within the assigned setting.
• Administers medications and assists physicians as required.
• Participates in quality improvement and governance activities.
