Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time registered nurse to support the Critical Care: ICU at Advocate South Suburban Hospital. The role requires bedside nursing, coordination with the care team, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Night shifts run 1900-0700 with every other weekend, including holiday coverage. Minimum requirements include an RN license and BSN preferred, with BLS certification and one year of clinical nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved nursing education program (RN).
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where care is provided.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications may be required by specialty.

Responsibilities

• Engage in governance, quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Use nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement and evaluate care.
• Monitor patient conditions and adjust care plans with the care team.
• Promote safety culture and maintain evidence-based practice.
• Communicate effectively and delegate appropriately.
• Maintain accurate EHR documentation and complete required education.
