Job summary

Kettering Health Dayton is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered care on the night shift in a full-time capacity. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care in collaboration with the healthcare team, ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include accurate documentation in the EHR, medication administration, patient education, and contributing to interdisciplinary care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
• Current, valid RN license in the State of Ohio.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Clinical nursing experience during nursing program accepted.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ physical, psychosocial, and educational needs using interviews and exam.
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans with the team.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered and monitor effects.
• Document all patient care in the EHR promptly and accurately.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and treatment plans.
• Monitor responses to interventions and adjust care as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams to coordinate comprehensive care.
• Maintain patient safety, confidentiality, and infection control standards.
