Job summary

The RN will deliver safe patient care using the nursing process, provide patient/family teaching, and collaborate with physicians.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
• Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
• CCRN certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the ICU.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physician; monitor hemodynamic status and diagnostic results.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
