Job summary

East Liverpool City Hospital in East Liverpool, OH, is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver safe patient care using the nursing process, with direct patient care in the ICU and coordination with physicians.

The RN must hold a current state license, maintain BLS and ACLS, and prefer Critical Care training; 1 year in acute care is encouraged; CC RN certification preferred.

This temporary night-shift position is part of a team committed to quality, compassion, and community.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Ohio.
• BLS certification at hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification at hire and maintained.
• Critical Care Course preferred.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care; CCU/ICU preferred.
• CRRN certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process in ICU and general units.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; communicate with physicians about changes in condition.
• Educate patients and families and supervise nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the ICU. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients; He/She communicates with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and abnormal results and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• 1. Current and valid state RN License.
• 2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• 3. Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
• 4. Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• 5. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• 6. Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
• 7. Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
• 8. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
