Job summary

OhioHealth in Columbus, OH, seeks an experienced ICU nurse for the Intensive Care Unit 1. The role provides general nursing care across the continuum, with a 36-hour weekly schedule and a night shift.

The RN is accountable under the Ohio Board of Nursing, delegates tasks to LPNs and UAPs, and participates in care planning, safety and performance improvement within a High Reliability Organization framework.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Ohio and in good standing.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• BSN required within 5 years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assessment/Diagnosis: perform initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessment.
• Outcomes Identification/Planning: document planned nursing interventions to meet patient needs.
• Implementation/Evaluation: evaluate response to interventions and adjust care plans as needed.
• Leadership: participate in process improvement to improve quality, patient satisfaction and efficiency.
• Operations: perform daily nursing duties and patient care activities.
• HRO focus: maintain safety, quality and efficiency in job duties.
