Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Lutheran Hospital in Cleveland's ICU invites an RN to join a Magnet-designated team delivering high-level care to medical and surgical patients with complex conditions. In this 10-bed unit, you will interact with patients and families, monitor and document conditions, administer medications, and contribute to discharge planning while collaborating with Critical Care APPs in a supportive environment.

Night shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
• ACLS Certification must be presented upon hire or within first year of employment
• One year of current acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience
• Preferred: BSN in 3 years

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families.
