Job summary

North Alabama Medical Center is seeking an ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high-level patient care in a fast-paced ICU. You will work with an experienced multidisciplinary team, performing the plan of care, medication administration, and continuous monitoring of patient status.

Applicants must hold a state RN license with an Associate's degree in nursing (Bachelor's preferred). BCLS is required; ACLS/PALS and Handle with Care are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state of practice required or eligible
• BCLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred
• Handle with Care preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions including medication administration and treatments
• Documents patient care accurately
• Monitors patient condition and communicates with care team and family
• Assists with activities of daily living and mobility
• Collaborates across disciplines for care coordination and transfers
• Provides patient/family education based on age and culture
