Job summary

North Alabama Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). You will care for critically ill cardiac and vascular patients in a high-acuity setting, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care.

The role requires an Associate's degree or higher in Nursing, Alabama RN license (or eligibility), and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in Nursing.
• Current Alabama RN license (or eligible for licensure).
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care and monitors patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Coordinates patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.
• Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
