Job summary

North Alabama Shoals Hospital in Florence, AL is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) New Graduate to join our ICU team on a full-time day shift. You will provide direct patient care, implement care plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams using advanced technology to support patient wellbeing.

The role emphasizes learning, autonomy, and compassionate nursing, with requirements including a current RN license, BLS, and completion of required nursing coursework.

Qualifications

• Must have current state RN license.
• BLS certification required within 14 days of hire.
• One year of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Documents patient care provided in a timely and accurate manner.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs).
• Assesses learning needs and delivers age-/culture-appropriate patient and family education.
