Job summary

Day Kimball Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the ICU team in Putnam, CT. This 36-hour position offers a night shift (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) with a sign-on bonus up to $13,500 for eligible candidates.

Responsibilities include assessing patients, documenting care, operating critical care equipment, and developing individualized plans while maintaining safety and quality standards. CT license and ACLS/NIHSS/NVCIT training are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing is required.
• Current Connecticut RN license is required.
• ACLS, NIHSS, NVCIT certifications or equivalents are required or must be obtained per orientation.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs across physical, psycho-social, and discharge planning.
• Document accurately and maintain clear communications with team.
• Operate and troubleshoot cardiac and patient care equipment.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans; respond to emergencies.

Registered Nurse (RN) Job Summary:

As the Registered Nurse (RN), you will be responsible for diagnosing responses to actual or potential health problems and for providing basic emergent, supportive, and restorative care through the use of our nursing process. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in assigned responsibility.

Registered Nurse(RN)Job Responsibilities:

• According to age and developmental level of the patient, systematically assesses the patient's physical, psycho-social, emotional, cultural, spiritual and discharge needs.
• Utilizes effective oral and written communication skills to include completeness and accuracy of documentation.
• Demonstrates accurate technical skill and operational knowledge of patient care equipment and procedure.
• Evaluates the plan of care and reformulates the goals as necessary.
• Develops and implements a plan of care for each patient.
• Recognizes unsafe and life-threatening situations and intervenes appropriately.

Registered Nurse(RN) Education and Experience Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Connecticut required.
• Current AHA Healthcare Provider CPR certification or equivalent within 3 months of hire required.
• Current NVCIT (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training) certification or within 3 months of hire required.
• Experience in Critical Care nursing is preferred.
• Completion of basic arrhythmia course and/or challenge exam within duration of orientation required.
• Current ACLS certification or completion within duration of orientation required.
• Current NVCIT (Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training) certification or completion within duration of orientation required.
• Current NIHSS certification or completion within duration of orientation required.
• Recognizes normal and abnormal cardiac monitoring patterns and implements an appropriate treatment process.
• Must demonstrate skill and efficiency in areas of procedure, equipment, troubleshooting, maintenance, and documentation for hemodynamic monitoring.
