Job summary

Tennessee Donor Services is seeking an Organ Recovery Coordinator with an ICU/critical care nursing background to oversee organ donation processes in the Tri-Cities region. This role offers autonomy in a mission-driven, life-saving setting within the DCI Donor Services family.

You will evaluate donor suitability, coordinate organ placement with transplant teams, assist in surgical recovery, support donor families, and maintain EMR records while meeting on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• Two plus years in a critical care setting.
• RN license required.
• Ability to exercise independent judgement and multitask.
• Exceptional teamwork, interpersonal, communication, and conflict management skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patient suitability for organ donation by reviewing medical records and consulting with medical staff.
• Coordinates organ placement and allocation with transplant programs and surgeons.
• Coordinates and assists in the surgical recovery of organs and peri-operative management.
• Provides support to donor families and conducts medical/social history interviews.
• Updates donor information into electronic medical record.
