Job summary

Ascension in Milwaukee, WI is hiring for a full-time registered nurse in a Float Staffing role. The position involves delivering direct nursing care across multiple Ascension sites during day shifts, developing and monitoring individualized care plans, and ensuring accurate documentation of patient conditions.

You will coordinate care across disciplines and execute orders promptly. Candidates must have a nursing diploma and Wisconsin RN licensure; BLS is required within 30 days.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider required within 30 days of hire; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• RN credential from Wisconsin Board of Nursing required prior to hire; licensure from Wisconsin Board or current multi-state license acceptable.
• PALS preferred; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care within a varied healthcare setting following established policies and protocols.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized patient care plans; document patient condition and communicate as needed.
• Act as central care coordinator across disciplines to ensure seamless patient care.
• Document and execute physician and nursing orders promptly.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to assess and coordinate all aspects of patient care requirements.
