Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital is seeking an ICU Registered Nurse to deliver safe patient care in the ICU using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation). You will supervise and guide patient/family teaching and support other nursing staff while maintaining standards of care, communicating with physicians about changes in patient condition and test results.

Requires state RN license, BLS, ACLS within specified timelines; Critical Care Course preferred and CC RN or BSN

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
• CCRN certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process in the ICU.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate with the physician about changes in patient condition including hemodynamic monitoring and diagnostic results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
