Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our ICU team in Wilmington, DE. This is a full-time day shift opportunity (7:00 am – 7:30 pm) with every third weekend and rotating holidays.

The 10-bed ICU treats cardiac, sepsis, vascular and renal patients, offers CRRT, and provides ongoing Education Forums with intensivists to support critical care knowledge and work‑life balance for our nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse in Delaware or valid temporary permit.
• ASN required; BSN preferred from an accredited nursing program.
• Previous critical care nursing experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to nursing practice standards and assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care.
• Completes a Nursing Assessment within 24 hours of patient admission.
• Identifies patient needs using objective data and documents appropriately.
• Implements nursing actions for identified patient needs with sound judgment.
• Communicates with patients and families about care plans and outcomes.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team to deliver patient care.
• Instructs and documents post-care plans for transfer or discharge.
• Evaluates patient and family understanding of instructions.
• Provides written instructions and materials to patients and families.
