Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Youngstown, OH seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for ICU/Critical Care at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.

The role covers full-time day and night shifts, with weekend scheduling and differential for weekend work. Responsibilities include coordinating care with the interdisciplinary team, administering medications, and leading patient teaching while ensuring safety and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• 1 year RN experience required; new grads with <1 year considered
• 6 months RN experience in Med/Surg, Critical Care, Stepdown, or ED preferred
• Current RN license in state of practice (or compact license)
• BLS/ACLS required or preferred (ACLS within 6 months)
• TNCC, CCRN, PCCN, RN-BC, TCRN, NIH Stroke certs preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess and plan patient care; coordinate with interdisciplinary team
• Administer medications safely per policies and regulations
• Serve as care coordination point across hospital departments
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Support family and patient education and discharge planning
