Job summary

Mercy Health - Youngstown is seeking an experienced Critical Care RN to join our ICU team at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital. Full-time day and night shifts available (7:00 AM–7:30 PM; 7:00 PM–7:30 AM).

The RN will deliver, coordinate, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, with weekend-only options and differential pay for weekends. The role requires RN license and 1 year of RN experience in critical care; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state they are working or covered by compact
• BLS/ACLS certificates as required or preferred (ACLS required within 6 months; PALS preferred)
• TNCC, CCRN, PCCN, RN-BC, TCRN, NIH Stroke certifications preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred

Responsibilities

• Conducts initial and ongoing patient assessment, creates plan of care, implements treatment, and evaluates effectiveness
• Administers medications safely per policy and procedures
• Acts as point of contact for care coordination across hospital departments
• Participates in ongoing quality improvement and patient safety efforts with the care team
• Supports families and coordinates care for patients and caregivers
• Manages life-support modalities and hemodynamic monitoring as needed
