Job summary

Mercy Health – Youngstown is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the ICU (Critical Care) at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital. The role requires strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status and develop care plans in a high-acuity environment.

Responsibilities include prioritizing patient needs, implementing interventions, and ensuring a safe, therapeutic environment. Requires RN licensure and ACLS/BLS; BSN preferred. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• 1 year of RN experience (required)
• 6 months RN experience in Med/Surg, CCU, Stepdown, or ED (preferred)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• BLS or ACLS certification (preferred at hire; ACLS within 6 months)
• PALS preferred in lieu of BLS/ACLS for Pediatric Units (required in that unit)

Responsibilities

• Assess patient status with strong organizational and leadership skills
• Determine priority of patient problems and needs
• Implement clinical nursing interventions for acute, critical patients
• Develop and perform patient care plans to improve outcomes
• Administer medications safely and collaboratively with the care team
