Job summary

Kindred Hospital San Francisco Bay Area is a 99-bed long-term acute care facility providing ICU-level care with 24-hour clinical coverage. Located about 7 miles east of Oakland International Airport off I-580, the hospital offers comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients and emphasizes patient education and discharge planning.

We are seeking a registered nurse with at least one year in critical care, ACLS/BCLS certification, and excellent communication skills to join our team

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Registered Nursing program.
• State RN licensure upon hire or via compact state licensure.
• ACLS and BCLS certifications required.
• Minimum one year of critical care experience.
• Fluent English in speaking and writing.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care using the nursing process (Assessment, Planning, Intervention, Evaluation).
• Supervise nursing care and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team.
• Administer medications safely following the seven rights (patient, route, time, medication, dose, reason, documentation).
• Document thoroughly in the electronic medical record.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in routine clinical procedures as needed.
