Job summary

Kindred Hospital Riverside is seeking an experienced registered nurse to provide quality care for critically ill patients. You will oversee nursing care plans, coordinate with physicians, and ensure timely assessments and documentation in the EMR.

The role requires ACLS/BLS certification, strong communication, and teamwork in a fast-paced ICU environment. Candidates should have a nursing degree, state licensure, and at least one year of critical care experience.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on age and clinical condition.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Organize tasks, develop action plans, set priorities, and function under stressful situations.
• Maintain good working relationships with co-workers.
• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• Must have good and regular attendance.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the standard of nursing care and implements the policies and procedures of the hospital and the nursing department.
• Assesses the patient on admission within the required time frame and refers to rehabilitation or nutritional services as needed.
• Develops and updates the nursing care plan in coordination with patient, family, and interdisciplinary team.
• Documents patient admission assessments and nursing care plans in the EMR.
• Demonstrates correct use of biomedical equipment and safe delivery of patient care.
• Administers medications with knowledge of action, side effects, and correct dosages.
• Assists physicians with tests and procedures and participates in equipment maintenance and safety.
