Job summary

Kindred Hospital San Antonio is a long-term acute care (LTAC) facility focused on patients recovering from major illness with complex needs. This role provides nursing care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation, serving as a patient advocate and coordinating with families and the care team.

Responsibilities include supervising others, documenting in the EMR, and participating in discharge planning. ACLS/BLS and ICU experience are required to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Registered Nursing program.
• Current state RN license or compact licensure required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Minimum one year of critical care experience.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care to critically ill patients using the nursing process.
• Supervise nursing care provided by other caregivers.
• Develop and coordinate care plans with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team.
• Document assessments and care plans in the EMR.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in discharge planning.
• Ensure patient education and advocacy.
