Job summary

Allegheny Health Network Canonsburg Hospital is seeking an experienced RN for the CH ICU – Medical Intensive Care Unit. The Canonsburg ICU is an 8-bed unit offering intensive care and step-down capabilities, caring for diverse conditions including sepsis, respiratory failure, and diabetes-related emergencies.

You will join a collaborative team with RNs, PCTs, hospitalists, pulmonary intensivists, and TeleICU, delivering high-quality patient care and supporting professional development.

Qualifications

• Current PA RN licensure or current multi-state licensure through the eNLC.
• CPR – American Heart Association.
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process in providing and coordinating the plan of patient care for the age-appropriate population.
• Initiates, monitors, and revises interdisciplinary plan of care based on assessment findings and physician orders for the age-appropriate population.
• Completes patient documentation in a comprehensive manner in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements that promotes interdisciplinary communication.
• Provides ongoing and appropriate teaching to patients and families to effectively guide them across the continuum of care.
• Supports the development of students, new staff, and colleagues, may serve as a preceptor.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
