Job summary

St. David's Round Rock Medical Center in Round Rock, Texas seeks an experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN). The RN will assess patients, develop and adjust care plans, and supervise non-licensed staff to ensure high-quality critical care.

The role includes medication administration, documentation, education for patients and families, and coordination with shifts. Required TX RN license or Compact license with TX within 90 days; BLS and ACLS upon hire, NIHSS within 6 months, and CATN/TNCC within 1

Qualifications

• ICU RN experience required, or 1 year in IMC/Telemetry unit.
• Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program.
• State RN license (TX) or Compact license with TX within 90 days.
• BLS required; ACLS within 90 days; NIHSS certification within 6 months; CATN/TNCC within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop plans of care in the ICU.
• Direct, monitor and evaluate care by non-licensed staff.
• Administer medications and IV therapies per hospital policy.
• Document outcomes of nursing interventions and patient responses.
• Educate patients and families about care and treatments.
• Review physician orders and ensure correct execution; notify changes to Charge Nurse.
• Provide patient information reports to on-coming shift for continuity of care.
