Job summary

St. David's HealthCare in Round Rock, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cardiac Cath Lab to provide nursing care for adult and geriatric patients with a broad range of illnesses. You will assess patients, administer medications, and document procedures.

Responsibilities include documenting admissions, monitoring changes, and communicating with physicians. Prior Cath Lab ICU experience is preferred; Texas RN license and BLS/ACLS are required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of critical care and/or Cath Lab experience as an RN.
• 3 years of critical care experience – preferred.
• 1 year of diagnostic or interventional Cath Lab experience – preferred.
• Associate’s degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – preferred.
• Current State of Texas RN license or Compact license (+90 days to obtain Texas license).
• BLS and ACLS certifications per policy.
• RCIS/CCRN/TNCC/CVRN certifications – preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete and document a patient assessment upon admission.
• Reassess and document changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications and monitor responses.
• Monitor patient status pre, during, and post procedure.
• Communicate patient changes to the physician.
• Manage patients with life-threatening dysrhythmia or hemodynamic changes as ordered.
• Explain procedures to patients and assess understanding.
