Job summary

Memorial Hermann in the Northeast is seeking a licensed Respiratory Therapist to support adult and neonatal units, including critical care. You will perform arterial blood gases, ventilator management and patient education under physician orders.

This role requires CRT/RRT credentials, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and 2+ years in high-acuity settings. You’ll collaborate with the care team to deliver safe, compassionate care and ensure documentation and compliance with hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT). Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred. Current Respiratory Care Practitioner License or Temporary Respiratory Care Practitioner License.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, CPFT, RPFT, RPSGT, Asthma Certified Educator, NRP Instructor, ACLS Instructor, PALS Instructor, or BLS Instructor preferred.
• RCP I <1 year; RCP II = 1-3 years; RCP III = 3-10 years; RCP IV = 10+ years. Two years of critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs respiratory care procedures: administer medical gases, medications and aerosols as ordered.
• Provides patient education and interprets arterial blood gases, pulmonary function testing and chest x-rays when indicated.
• Ensures safe, compassionate, high-quality care and maintains documentation according to policies and procedures.
