Required credentials include CRT or RRT, Texas license, and BCLS with ACLS/PALS/NRP or equivalent. CCRP with critical care experience is preferred; this is a part-time, PRN night position with variable scheduling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current and unrestricted Respiratory Care Practitioner License with the State of Texas required or equivalent.
• CRT or RRT certification required or preferred.
• BCLS and one of ACLS, PALS, NRP, CPFT, RPFT, RPSGT, Asthma Educator, NRP Instructor, ACLS Instructor, PALS Instructor or CPR Instructor.
• RCP I <1 year; RCP II 1-3 years; RCP III 3-10 years; RCP IV 10+ years.
• Four years of critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers respiratory care procedures and therapies, including diagnostic tests as indicated.
• Takes verbal treatment orders from physicians.
• Evaluates treatment programs and adjusts care as needed.
• Develops and recommends respiratory care plans; serves as resource to RCP I.
