Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, NV is seeking a part-time ICU Registered Nurse to provide safe, competent care and leadership within the patient care team. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, coordination of interdisciplinary plans, and ongoing rounds to enhance safety and service quality.

The ideal candidate will have a Nevada nursing license, at least one year in critical care, and current BLS; ACLS is required or must be obtained within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• Current Nevada nursing license is required.
• At least one year of critical care nursing experience.
• Current BLS certification and ACLS (or willingness to obtain within six months).

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent nursing care following facility policies.
• Lead and support the healthcare team in patient care.
• Perform direct and indirect patient care per care plan and diagnoses.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary plan of care including goals and discharge planning.
• Conduct hourly rounds to improve safety, communication and patient comfort.
