Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, NV is seeking an ICU Clinical Supervisor Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift on the ICU unit. This role combines direct patient care with managerial duties, including staff disciplinary actions and participation in hiring and termination decisions.

Qualified candidates will hold an active NV RN license, have a minimum of 3 years in nursing, and possess BLS/ACLS/PALS as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Current NV State Registered Nurse Licensure.
• Minimum of 3 years’ nursing experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certification as appropriate for department specific.
• Specialty Certification preferred.
• Bachelor's in Nursing preferred or enrolled in accredited program within one year of employment or transfer into supervisor role.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care on ICU unit.
• Performs disciplinary actions and participates in hiring/termination of staff.
• Communicates with physicians/Nurse Manager/co-workers about changes in patient condition and test results.
• Responds quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
