Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health's Exeter Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Night shift (7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.), working two 12-hour shifts per week with every third weekend.

The unit provides a 2:1 or 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio, multidisciplinary rounds, and strong collaboration with physicians and staff to ensure high-quality patient care. The RN will provide professional nursing care, coordinate care planning, mentor peers, and participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• RN license NH state or any other compact state
• BCLS certification or within 30 days of hire; BSN strongly preferred
• ACLS certification or within1 year of hire

Responsibilities

• Adheres to standards of practice and administers medications and IVs safely and accurately.
• Precepts new employees and supports continuing education and critical thinking.
• Delegates appropriately and monitors staff utilization on shift.
• Performs physical assessments and collects comprehensive patient history on admission.
• Prioritizes patient care needs and manages assignment with independent and collaborative decision making.
• Communicates hand-offs effectively and develops discharge plans with the care team.
• Evaluates outcomes and adjusts the plan of care based on patient feedback.
• Educates patients and families and contributes to community education materials.
