Job summary

Black Women's Mental Health Institute is seeking an RN for the Inpatient ICU to provide direct care to critically ill adults, develop care plans, and monitor status. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and patient-family education are key parts of the role.

Active Maine RN licensure or ability to obtain it is required, with 1 year of acute care experience; ICU experience and BLS/ACLS/MOAB certifications preferred. 12-hour night shifts including weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in Maine or ability to obtain it.
• At least 1 year of RN experience in an acute care setting.
• ICU experience and relevant certifications (BLS, ACLS, MOAB) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to critically ill adult patients.
• Develop and evaluate care plans; monitor patient status.
• Collaborate across disciplines; educate patients and families.
• Delegate tasks to ancillary staff; precept students/new hires when applicable.
• Optimize patient outcomes through comprehensive care planning and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Support patient education and ensure safety and quality standards.
