Job summary

Qualifications

• RN license in New York State (current).
• Minimum 3 year telemetry Med/Surg experience and BCLS/ACLS certification.
• Completion of full Critical Care course and Certification.
• ICU/PCU experience preferred; EKG skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent nursing care in ICU based on nursing theory and research.
• Perform IV therapy, phlebotomy, medication administration and documentation; interpret arrhythmias per ACLS; respond to cardiac arrest.
• Nursing assessment, develop goal-oriented care plans with patient involvement.
• Coordinate care activities, including teaching, rounding, discharge planning, and delegation.
