Job summary

FlexStaff is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse in the Bay Shore, NY area to provide age-specific nursing care using the standard nursing process. You will assess patients, develop and implement care plans, administer medications, and educate patients and families.

You will collaborate with physicians and health team members, coordinate discharges, and ensure safe, evidence-based care across units. A NY (or CT) RN license plus BLS is required, with 1–2 years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum 1-2 years of professional nursing experience.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State and/or Connecticut.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assess physiologic and psychosocial health; develop care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and health team; implement treatments.
• Administer medications and educate patients and families.
• Participate in discharge planning and referrals.
